Include Me Too is a nonprofit organization providing support services for children attending funerals or visitations free of charge. A certified child life specialist is available to help children understand what to expect at a funeral or visitation and to provide developmental support to children ages 3-18 years old to assist them in saying goodbye.
Our Services Include:
Preparation for a funeral or visitation:
A certified child life specialist will meet with your child at the funeral home to explain what to expect during a funeral or visitation. This can include a conversation about death, a guided tour, and/or a specifically tailored activity.
Support for children during a funeral or visitation:
A certified child life specialist will attend the funeral or visitation and work with children providing support or developmental activities. Children may engage in activities that help them share questions, thoughts, and feelings. This will be done in a separate space to assist children in saying goodbye in a way that is meaningful for them.
Child Life Specialists are specially trained to help children understand unfamiliar events in a developmentally appropriate manner and to provide support to promote healthy coping.
We will work with your funeral home to facilitate our services.
